riletto due volte a distanza di tempo e ancora mi fa impazzire. certo come primo romanzo è anche troppo ricco di particolari, infatti adesso posso dire di conoscere Montecarlo come le mie tasche senza esserci mai stata veramente! A parte la prolissità delle descrizioni il thriller è veramente ben costruito, ti affezioni ai personaggi che sono caratterizzati così bene che ti sembra di conoscerli da sempre. L'intreccio ti tiene incollata alle pagine e vuoi, devi!, sapere di più. Un meraviglioso esordio che coinvolge e appassiona!

I really enjoyed this book, it was a quick and engrossing read. The premise was engaging, as well as the psychopathic killer. I thoroughly enjoyed how Faletti slowly revealed pieces and parts of the characters throughout the book. I was genuinely surprised at all the plot twists, turns and how everything was (more or less) wrapped up. I had no idea what to expect, because each death seemed more gruesome and horrible than the last--it seemed like there had to be SOME good happening sometime! Once it finally happened, it was a great build-up and suspenseful; I couldn't put it down.

This book hit everything I enjoyed in a thriller/suspense novel. It was intriguing, set in an interesting location with a multitude of characters that you couldn't really trust until you saw their true colors. I was slightly taken aback at how upfront Faletti was about the brutal style the serial killer chose to kill his victims. It's not for the faint of heart!

ma chi è l'assassino? una lettura appassionante ti porta a scoprirlo il libro più riuscito di quelli scritti da Faletti...i successivi secondo me risultano tutti molti molti gradini al di sotto di questo thriller!
