This is the eighth in the series and finds Patrick and Erica embroilled in both a modern day and historical mystery as the sole daughter of a family that disappeared in the 70s returns to her family home following the tragic loss of her own son. In doing so she and her husband trigger a series of events that leads Patrick, Erica and the reader on a ride through her family history, a history of loss, love and murder. This is a gripping story that follows on 18 months from the cliffhanger of the last book and is as gripping as every book preceding it.

This could simply be my favorite from the series! I am absolutely mindblown by the revelations in the end!
