A really good plot line with some thrilling events. Lackberg shows us why Swedish crime is just so popular.

Couldn't put it down. I was enthralled with the way Ms. Lackberg wove the story.

I would have given [b:Buried Angels] four stars, except that about fifty pages from the end, it started to feel as though [a:Camilla Läckberg|72887|Camilla Läckberg|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1295550934p2/72887.jpg] was getting paid by the page. The denouement was fairly clear at that point and the final pages only added minor details . The entire plot thread about the five boys-turned-grown-men who had stayed on the island that day also felt like a waste of my time when all was said and done. I understand that you have to have some red herrings in a story like that, but these herrings started to read like Moby Dick after a while. All in all, it was still a good Patrik Hedström story, and I will definitely read the next one when it comes out, but I have no qualms about skipping passages.
