About a man who took refuge in the house of an old judge. Most people stay away from this house (for good reasons) and this man finds out why soon enough.

I really enjoyed this one, I liked the mystery, pacing and tone.
And reallyyy enjoyed the ending. Ambiguous yet still satisfying.

A spooky fun short story from Bram Stoker about a student who stays at a haunted house infested with rats. This story is a fun taste of Stoker in a small portion. It is a tiny bit predictable, but still enjoyable.
“Rats Is Bogeys and Bogeys Is Rats” is also a haunting and iconic line that this story left in my head after its conclusion.

Obvious foreshadowing is obvious. Otherwise, decently well written, with a few enjoyable (if predictable) twists and turns.
SpoilerAm I the only one thinking the other rats are the people hanged unjustly by the judge?
