I was thirteen years old when I first read Marked. It was a book that felt like a best friend as I Carrie it with me through some really dark times. I felt like the story was some weird parallel of the Darkness within my own life, and a I got older and matured, so did the story. It transformed from a cute YA novel about magic and vampyres to a coming of age tale of love and trust and strength.
I remember commenting often on Zoeys immaturity and whining. But in this book I really see the honesty in the title. Redeemed is more than fitting to describe it. Gone are the teasing teenagers who bickered over school cliques and boyfriends, and in their places bloom the powerful young adults who look to life, love, and the future in all of it's ugly beauty. In this, the year that I turn eighteen, I come of age and look down the road to my future at the same time that these character who have been constantly by me for six years do the same. They are my parallels in all ways and they give me an uplifting hope. It's a new goal on my bucket list to meet the Casts and tell them how growing up next to these people has change me for the better. I embrace the sadness that comes with the end of this series, and I look foreword to reliving it along with my adolescence someday.

I feel how this ended they could easily carry on for special editions because they only trapped neferet and didn't kill her. I was also disappointed that Zoey wasn't the high preistess of the house of night and that they were all splitting up.
--Review of series---
The series could have ended sooner for me I felt a few books were samey and it got a bit boring. I found it irritating that they were all so against skanks but acted slaggy themselves and that was fine. Like you really don't need three boyfriends honestly you don't. Erin dying was disappointing it would have been more heartbreaking if she had stayed good. The actual idea is fantastic! I loved the combination of witchy things with vampires and the vampire mythology for this book series was original and absolutely fantastic! Most characters were enjoyable and it was quite a fun y series but Zoey got on my nerves and I thought she was a very selfish character.

There are flaws with this series, but I think it got across its main themes well and it was fun to read

“It can be seductive and cunning. Darkness wears many faces, and some of those faces can seem, at first, like allies.”
This was the finale that this series deserved. After devoting so much time, energy, and love into these characters, it actually feels sad to say goodbye; I haven't felt this way about a book series in a long time. This book was amazing. It was a rollercoaster of emotions the whole way through, full of action, great dialogue, and amazing plot.. I hate to say it, but I actually wish these books were larger. I feel that there are so many amazing and dynamic characters introduced, and even though we get snippets of all of them, there isn't enough time to truly delve into them all the way I would like, particularly Neferet. I love that she .
I love this series regardless of the fact that it is problematic (in more ways than one), cringy, cheesy, and poorly written. I am glad I chose to re-read these books, and I can't wait for my first read-through of the spinoff series.

Kalona's death and redemption absolutely destroyed me, but I loved getting to see him return to Nyx. Additionally, Erik finally got the ending he deserved, and I loved that him and Shaunee had a spark in the end.Spoiler
went out like the dark Goddess she is, but I feel that her character could have been fleshed out so much more. Her backstory is absolutely and truly devastating, and even though she got her own novella, I don't think her trauma was properly addressed. It was used as a way to explain her trafficking with Darkness, and then tossed aside. I think she deserves better.I love this series regardless of the fact that it is problematic (in more ways than one), cringy, cheesy, and poorly written. Took me forever to finish the series, but I made it and now I’m sad. Great way to end the series, though I’m still excited to pick up the otherworld books!

Good lord!! I never thought this series would ever end.
Way too many boyfriend. This girl/vamp needs total help on the romance front.
The plot surrounding the vampires is the only reason I stayed with this series but I wanted to strangle and shake zoe so many time
