Never felt so seen by a female character. I related so much to Ellie with my own scars and seeing a love interest love on them as if it wasn’t the thing I find the most disgusting on my own body was…relieving.

One day, I hope someone like Rafa will come into my life and treat my past just like he did in the books. Like they’re not something to be ashamed of.

Thank you, Lauren, for making me feel seen.

I loved these characters, their real struggles, and complex personalities. This book made me cry and laugh. The built was perfect and I was so proud of who both Rafael and Ellie became.

Boss/Employee Romance, Opposites Attract, 3 1/2 🔥

“I developed this screwed-up mindset at a young age about relationships. That if I became the version of myself that I thought people wanted me to be, then they wouldn’t ever want to leave me.”

“To me, the one is someone willing to do everything in their power to be the person you deserve, not because they are fated to love you but because they choose to.”

This was one of my most anticipated releases for this year and it didn't disappointed!!!

No one does the single parent trope like Lauren Asher!! She really makes us care not only about the relationship between the two protagonists but also the relationships with the kid!!!

I loved every character and their dynamics so much!!!!!!

My only complain is that I wish we could've seen more of Nico's dynamic with Ellie after she and Rafael started dating.

Also, I was expecting more beachy vibes, I took it with me on my vacation thinking that it would be perfect to read at the beach and I was a little disappointed that it didn't perfectly match those vibes, but thats a me problem, I guess.
