A great blend of choose-your-own-adventure and D&D. Pre-made character options & intuitive use of symbols to signal stats-driven effects and path choices make it easy to jump right into playing and replaying.

I went back over and over, made every possible choice, completed every possible path. (I admit I ignored the character sheets, so I didn't die as often as I ought to have.) It was delightful and scary and fierce and adorable and dark and light-hearted.

My only gripe is that it felt a trifle short. I very much look forward to reading In The Tower!

This was so much fun! If you grew up obsessed with choose your own adventure books like I did, and/or you love games like D&D now, you'll probably have as much fun as I had. I went through many times with all of the character options and making different choices so I could experience all of the endings. Just over all a very fun dungeon romp!

I preferred into the tower, as it felt more in depth with clearer plot lines.
Not saying Into the Dungeon is bad, it is much shorter and Into the Tower improves it.

I'm sure it's fun! I just had trouble keeping up with which entry on a page corresponded to my choice with the digital version I borrowed from the library.

Such a fun idea, and well executed. After two quick runs through I feel like I've got almost all I'm going to get out of it (although I definitely have at least one more game to go to get a good spread of outcomes!). Really looking forward to Into the Tower.
