DArker than the previous volumes, but it would be, being about the Khmer Rouge.
Manages to keep the gentle humour and humanity of Siri Paiboun while not downplaying the horrors of the killing fields.
MUCH better than its misogynistic predecessor! Worth reading twice. Dr. Siri goes to Cambodia, encounters the Khmer Rouge, and learns the fate of their many victims. This is not only superior to the previous book in this series -- it might be the best of the whole set.
The last in the Siri Paiboun series. Not as good as the previous ones IMO. The trip to Cambodia in the plot seems to have been entirely gratuitous.
Wasn't one of his greatest. The next one is really good though.

I happen to be addicted to the "Dr. Siri" series, but the ending of the book was not believable and therefore, a disappointment.
Dr. Siri is such an interesting character. The plot was interesting and it also took place in Cambodia. The Khmer Rouge are ruthless. Siri learns about the killing fields
