A good start with some lovely panels - so far this is all set-up. Not sure where it's gonna go...

How to be a shitty husband and father in 100 odd pages!

This went really quick and had amazing visuals. Intriguing story, even if our "protagonist" is a dink who won't stop. It's a little frustrating following him and having so much attention given to him, but, I'm pretty sure I get what James is doing and I can accept that. He's always very good at people studies and their stories.

Literally just the most insufferable main character. I can't imagine following this man for an entire series

This is a good, very existential and dark (both visually and in terms of the subject matter) read.

Collects #1-3 of 3 issues.

Sooo it’s essentially a short story about a kid with a kinda crappy (possibly alcoholic) dad, and his allegorical closet monster…?

Maybe it’s that I was hoping for stronger horror elements or maybe just that parenting themes in general don’t really do it for me, but this whole volume felt like one extended bland metaphor.

Crazy to read this back to back with Underwater Welder. Both basically the same story.

Thom is moving cross-country with his family, but not everything is happy in the home. He and his wife are having marital issues, and his son Jamie is having recurring nightmares about a creature living in his closet. Thom is hoping that everything will be better after the move, with a clean slate on life and no more closet in his son’s room. But not everything will be that simple.

This is an interesting start to a series, and I’m curious where it’s going to go, but it’s such a hard read because Thom is such a despicable person. Not sure if I’ll continue or not.

This is pretty sad, y'all. The art was fantastic. I love the contrasting colors and all that. The sort of minimalist design fits the quiet horror that the story was going for. That said, it really is a such a bleak familial story.
