Sooo it’s essentially a short story about a kid with a kinda crappy (possibly alcoholic) dad, and his allegorical closet monster…? 

Maybe it’s that I was hoping for stronger horror elements or maybe just that parenting themes in general don’t really do it for me, but this whole volume felt like one extended bland metaphor.
