This book drops you into the life of this family of werewolves and violently jerks you from one story to the next, giving you just enough detail to understand what’s going on. In any other author’s hands, this book would have been twice as long and half as interesting.
The Way through the Woods: Of Mushrooms and Mourning by Long Litt Woon

This is primarily a book on mushrooming, with mourning and discussions of bereavement sprinkled throughout. That being said, the parts on death are important and poetic and I know that I’m going to be picking this up when I’m grieving in the future. As a book on mushrooms, it’s interesting comparing Long’s descriptions of mushroom taste and edibility with that of David Arora. I think it’s a fantastic book for people who are curious about mushrooms.
