Did not expect to enjoy this book as much as I did. I was tempted to abandon it halfway through but I'm so glad I took a chance and continued reading. Loved the mother-daughter dynamic, all the bittersweetness of second chances at life and love, and a narrative that is so incredibly personal to me.

Phenomenal, breathtaking, could not put it down, and literally every other cliche comment reviewers make about a well-loved and enjoyable novel. It took me two tries to really get into it but when I got into the story, I just couldn't put it down. North is so charming and Nimh is so wonderful, I love them both. Such vivid imagery, I forgot I was reading because I got completely absorbed into the book. This book devoured me just as much as I devoured it.

This book is what kept me going for the past 2 difficult weeks. Especially, Marshall Seo because he is everything to me. Lovers to enemies to lovers excellence, plenty of Easter eggs, rich with history and meaning. I enjoyed this book quite a bit.
