Heaven and Hell by Kristen Ashley
5.0
Oh this book, Kristen Ashley strikes my heart again. The emotions, the joy, the sorrow, this woman slays me.
Kia, falls for the high school jock marries him but there life isn’t anything like she thought it was going to be. Circumstance change and not only is Kia left with the wake of a life in which she regretted but now she needs to move on with dignity and grace.
A chance meeting where she meets Sampson Cooper her celebrity crush, turns to an extraordinary date. Not only does she me this incredible man, she meets his best friend Luci who takes a liking to Kia. Luci and Kia become fast friends.
Kia is trying to move on with her life but her ex has royal messed with her life and is still doing it from the grave. She has to travel back to her home town, Sam comes with, and lordy be the scene with Sam and her girl posse had me laughing till I had tears!
There is some pretty emotion stuff going on in this book and the two scenes that have me tearing up just think about them is with Kia and her dad breaks my heart, also the one with Kia and Luci. Powerful stuff right there.
I think I love Kristen’s work so much because she brings them full circle, she also connects her other books. We get to see Lee and Joe and Tanner I mean how cool that is!
Half this book I am talking to my self and it goes a little something like this… Oh Sam how you can want her to open herself up like that when you won’t do the same. I get you have your own issues but look at her and see what your silence is doing. NOT fair Sam NOT fair. lol yes I talk to my self even when listening to an audiobook.
Ok I totally FREAKING LOVE Hap!! Hap is Sam’s other bestie.
Here are my 2 favorite quotes of the book and that is will be all for this review
“Heaven is you to baby.” OMG right!!!
Sam’s mom to Kia
“We share more than Sammy honey. I know all about walking right through hell and suddenly finding yourself on the other side. Glad it gets to be me that greet you there but more I am glad I can say I raised a man who would take your hand and lead the way.”
You need this book in your life... I swear it. <3

Jethro & Sienna
I love me some Winston boys, even though I was surprised the second book is Jethro I was pleasantly surprised. He has that inner marshmallow you just want to squeeze the stuffing out of him.
Sienna comes to town and Jethro is her knight in shining armor, it was really sweet. She wasn't would I thought she was going to be and I am glad for that.
I did find myself wishing she was more forward toward her sister, she was a bit of a pushover in that aspect.
I found myself rooting or Jethro, he was very forward and told it like it was he didn't beat around the bush at all. I loved that.
Again the narration was awesome, loved the male narrator! This was a different one from book 1 for the female but she did a great job in my opinion.
*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

This was a first by this author for me.
I really enjoyed the story oh and boy howdy it was SEXY! Hot Hot Hot.
I love a good one night stand only this turned into a week stand.
Melissa need a week to get her head on straight so she could go home and do what she needed to do.
I didn't expect a few things that happened. I mean you kind of feel like you know where the story is going but I was pleasantly surprised where the story took me.
I did like her best friend she was a great secondary character. Over all a solid 4 stars.

Yes, yes a thousand times yes. I can’t express how much I wanted Simon to get his own book! And it was perfect, so Simon. Witty and outlandish and cocky and self-assured.
It felt just as like all the other Mageri Series book. We also get glimpse in to all our favorites. How awesome is that.
If you were like me you could always tell there was something Simon was covering up with his smile and wit. And we really get to see that in this book. Not at all in your face, it’s a give and take and really shows how much he ends ups growing to like Ella.
Ella, who we only just meet in this book. Really goes through character growth, the kind where your fight right along with her because you want her to succeed.
Simon trains her to be the best she can and to learn how to use user hearing loss as an advantage not think about it like a handicap. She kicks some serious butt let me tell you.
Again I got the audio version and again I am in awe at how Nicole Poole can make me feel a part of this world. But not only that but she has the voices for each character they never get messed up in my head. I love it.
If you’re a fan of this series, seriously what are you waiting for its Simon enough said.
*All my Reviews are 100% honest and my own.*

Bittersweet this book, because it means the series is done. But as we know with most Kristen Ashley books they can make appearances in other books just look at the Rock Chicks we got a little of them in this series along with others. So we are never truly done with a series. I did put this book off because I wasn’t ready for it to be done. But all good things right…
Nick Sebring… what to say about him. Well we meet him in Knight and I will say this he wasn’t someone I would have ever wanted to read about back then. He sure grew up and grew into his own that’s for damn sure. Instead of riding his brothers coat tails. Or expecting something for nothing, he learned what it was to work hard for what you want and get it. There is a convo between Knight and Nick that is stuck in my head . –
I have to say that sums up what I felt like with this story. Nick really became a man you respect. No, getting Livvie wasn’t easy but isn’t that what makes it so much sweeter? When you have to work really work for what you want?
This review is longer than I thought because now I have to talk about Olivia and I have a lot to say.
I know a lot of people compared her to Sadie from the Rock Chicks and I have to disagree. Livvie, never liked the life not saying Sadie ever did. But Livvie had to be there look what happened when she tried to leave. She struggled with her lot in life. She never had the persona Sadie did. What you see is Livvie just trying to make it from day to day.
She wasn’t emotionless, but at times I wondered. I think she just truly didn’t know what real happiness was. Why smile if it’s going to be fake? Or if smiling will be misinterpreted for something good that can be taken away from you? She had family but they were never the loving, she loves her sister sure but she doesn’t like her.
When she meets Nick, she starts to come alive. We hear about the man who is broken and needs the love of a good women right, well revers that. That’s what we see here. Livvie is the broken one and she needs the love of a good man to see her because she can’t see herself. She doesn’t think anyone could or would love her not after the life she has lead.
It broke my heart this book and it put it back together, I loved it. I usually love all of Kristen Ashley’s books because they are what I expect my romance novels to be.

“You, brother, you started life havin’ it easy,” Knight continued.
“Got a lot of love for you so this is difficult to say but I’m gonna say it. I like you gotta work for what’s important. If you work for it, you’ll get it. You’ll get why it was worth the work. You’ll never forget that. And you’ll finally get it where I am now after you wade through all the shit, knowin’, when you finally have it easy, just how worth it was to keep wading through. But bottom line, I know you’re a man who’s got balls and the guts and the heart to stick it out and wade though.”
“You done with the heartfelt big brother lectures?”
“Fuck you.”
I have to say that sums up what I felt like with this story. Nick really became a man you respect. No, getting Livvie wasn’t easy but isn’t that what makes it so much sweeter? When you have to work really work for what you want?
“Just so you don’t forget, you mean more to me today than you did yesterday. And yesterday you meant a fuckuva lot to me.”

“You exist for me.”
It broke my heart this book and it put it back together, I loved it. I usually love all of Kristen Ashley’s books because they are what I expect my romance novels to be.

18 HOT Star’s
There have been a hand full of books I wished I could give more than a 5 star rating. This is one of them so I give it 18 Star’s yep. This book blew my mind, in the most delicious of ways.
Shannon, needs credits to graduate. You have to wonder what the hell is going on in the school system for them to miss she needed some important credits. Even if she technically had more then they needed over all.
So back to school for more credits! And this is where her life is never going to be the same again.
Enter HOT AF Teacher.. Mr. Alesci, aka Mateo. In my head I call him Mr. Hottie. What I can’t help it. The first few chapters you are going to be sucked in to this mysterious yummy man.
The heat these two generate leaps in to your ears and sinks in to your brain.
There are parts of Shannon’s life I wish I could kick for her.. Like her brother in-law. But I don’t want to get into all that, you need to experience that yourself and come up with your own opinions. Her niece though to cute.
Back to Mr. Hottie did I mention he lives’ across the street from her? I didn’t well think of the possibilities this holds, and he like to bring out her naughty girl side. So let’s just take a sec and fan our self.. .HOT, HOT, HOT.. HOOOOTTT.
‘But I smile. Even though he creeps me out, he does it in all the right ways.’
‘I’ll probably regret that soon. I usually do.’ – Shannon
Yeah these little tid bits have stuck with me, so I had to share.
Worth the credit HECK yes!
I loved Ava Erickson performance so hard in this book. There isn’t one thing I wished was different. Defiantly a narrator I will buy from again.

I waited, and waited for this book. I bought it as an ebook, but waited for the audio and HOLY Smokes am I glad I did.
I don’t read blurbs, so I went in knowing very little, just the way I like it. And wow this audio delivered.
My favorite of the year so far, these 2 narrators brought me right in to the story. I was sucked right in from the first 10 minutes. I listened straight through!
Ark, *fans self* this man wow, he just does it for me. He is the “Alpha” but with the soft side.
JD, is the fun loving, silly guy, until you hit the bedroom/ alleyway/ club/ pretty much anywhere.
Blue, she is the broken girl wanting to be made whole.
Ark and JD are like the yin and yang, same by different, brothers by choice, best friends and business partners. The business is porn, public porn, all on the up and up but still porn.
They make a good living doing it to, they want for nothing. So when they come upon a girl in an alley they bring her in to the fold so to speak.
“Money does that to you. Money changes you. I said it never would, but I was wrong.” - Ark
There is something about this girl that is different from any other for them. They both have this pull toward her. They can see she is in a bad way, and they want to make it better but are cautious.
“She's not mine. Not his. She's ours.” – Ark
Blue’s running from something or someone. That someone or something is also connected with JD. And when JD was suffering and in his black hole, it was Ark who brought him out of it.
“I don't have the answers JD's looking for and even if I did, I wouldn't be able to tell him.” - Blue
Blue as it turns out is what brings them all together. Even if some of them fight it more than others.
“I don’t feel safe unless I am surrounded.” –Blue
There is a quote that got to me hard, and it’s what I will end my review with. This book is powerful and haunting; it’s going to be with me for a long time, in all the good ways.
Worth the listen? Yes. Worth the credit? Yes. I leave you with this.
“If we're in, we're in. We're together. We're a… a… trio. Not one, not two, but three.”- JD

OK so if your not familiar with this series you wouldn't understand some of what I am going to say but that's OK because this book is awesome anyways.
Now I lovvvvved Prince up until Two Minutes. Then for me he turned in to a douche and I don't even really know why. Maybe he was like that in the other books and I just had my Charming glasses on or what. But the way he was in Two Minutes I was so mad with him. Don't get me started on Nadia that girl she needs to chill. So when that whole thing happened in that book I was almost like good reddens... BUTTTT...
Then Kat comes in to his life and pretty much tosses him on his booty. Everything he knows or think he knows is about to get challenged and Kat is just the wolf to show him the way.
The dynamic between Kat and Nadia omg I wanted to shake the girl up and be like can't you see she loves you and just wants you to accept her for who she is and be ok with that. I mean really. But sisters I get it. I have one I know. lol.
Oh but I just loved this book Sigh.. still Reno and April have my heart.. But Kat and Charming now have a corner. ;)

First I didn't dis like the book please don't think that.
I just didn't understand that its a continuation kind of book.
So for me that part fell flat but all in all the story is good. I will have to get book 2 and 3 from my library to finish this story.
But it was a great start to an interesting love story.

Donny, Vickie, Tracy, Micah
I was pleasantly surprised I like this book as much as I did. I had high hopes but I wasn't to sure when I got into it and realized where it was going.
So I may have spoilers so be warned.
Micah is a totally A Hole! Glad he did what he did but I didn't like how it affected his kids or his wife.
I do have to say Tracy handled herself well not only that but she was a rock and a saint for her kids. I can't image how hard all that would have had to be on her. Then add watching her niece most days as well, crazy.
Vickie needs her head shake she is an ungrateful little piss ant and I wished she had done what Micah did. That would have saved everyone heartache but she was to selfish for that.
Donny now what do I say about him. He confused me. First he loves his wife then he doesn't then he wants to be there for her because he has a child with her. But I don't think he really knew what he wanted esp when she got back from rehab. The beach I get that it was all going to come to a head esp with how much his feeling and her feeling had grown but I do wish he had been unattached before it really started that's just me.
But yeah I loved these book they made me think and feel and question and days later they pop up in my head and I have all new thoughts and feelings. And some time my opinion changes. So what more can you ask from a book really.
