Contains guidelines for writing that are applicable in almost every field. Everyone should have this book on their shelf. I recommend this to all of my students, regardless of their major. Highly recommended!

There are so many versions of the Arthurian legend that sound so much the same. This is an exception. The idea of the birth of England's greatest legend being Hellenic is a twist never anticipated. If you loved Mists of Avalon, this is not that level of storytelling skill, but the story itself is refreshing. Recommended!

Illustrates the life of an outsider with an element of stoicism that similar stories lack. There's no whining over a difficult situation, not just to survive, but a proactive approach to make things work. I read this because it was assigned, but was very pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. (Not always the case.) Highly recommended!

The Arthurian legend from the perspective of Morgaine was fascinating, aside from this being just an astonishingly good read. It certainly allows you to empathize with the villain and paints a dark world in the midst of the Dark Ages. Again, a departure from the mythical depictions of the Arthurian legend. Highly recommended!
