Boys’ Club Gone Wrong: Homosexual Edition. If I had to summarize this book w/a song, it’d be “… Baby One More Time” by Britney Spears.

Intense, raw, and unintentionally poetic. These photographs force its viewers to reckon with the concept of “self” as something that exists both within and apart of the body. This book exists within the intersection of Patrick Bateman and NBC’s Hannibal Lecter, regarding body gore as voyeurism and art.

I sincerely pity anyone who reads this book as an introduction to Greek Mythology, and further fail to understand how it was possible to create such a misogynist story for a “feminist” retelling, and yet. (p.s. the absolute butchery of the Bacchae is reason enough not to read this book).
