I wanted to love this but I was just ready for it to be over. There were some lovely phrases and I loved the character of James, but I'm going to stick with her nonfiction.

Oliver Sacks is a delight. This book is a somewhat odd mix of memoir and history of chemistry. The chemistry portions were mostly over my head, but it was hard not to be charmed by Sacks's enthusiasm.
