This book was very hard to read because its format is very business-like with very complicated words which are usually common in the business world, not suitable for me who was only looking for an easy business book to read and catch ideas from. There are a lot of graphs and advanced economics talk, so I find it pretty boring and most of the time I do not understand where the chapter is going, because of the very difficult words and tough MBA explanation.
Haig indirectly wrote a young adult fiction story that revolves around suicide and its consequences. I agree his writing and his overall intentions were amazingly fervent, but yes of course the story was very predictable, and it does not really give you enough to fulfill your expectations, but the meaning behind the book was what made it worth the read. The book made it clear how we should find love, be loved, and love others too in order to feel compassion, the urge to live and to be happy.
I think the novel is hard to put down, especially during the first chapters. It gives a mysterious, eerie type of novel vibe, and I couldn't imagine any other ending. If you love REALISTIC FICTION + cats? Then fucking read it! It is a great combination of a cliche murder mystery (sort of) added with humorous and abnormal elements while finding love, family, and incurring dreams.
I would understand how people like it, the main idea of the plot is absolutely genius, a little enigmatic of all sort. The characters were amazingly portrayed, their development for each chapter was mind-blowing, the story was deep and full of meanings, but I think people who are not used to reading classics (like me) will find it tiresome and boring to read it because the plot and the writing were so slow and a bit ambiguous to comprehend.
One thing I admire about this book was the realistic form of how Dostoyevsky manages to put out his story and the amazing moral portray of how dreading life can be, especially to those with only a little choices, and the various personality of each character and how lucky Raskolnikov was to be surrounded by people who absolutely offer their affections to him.
The book is philosophical fiction. Based on my past encounters with philosophy, there are usually more questions left unanswered than real answers. There is no truth or no fact in philosophy. It all depends on how we perceive it.
> "What is the meaning of life?"
Everyone stumbles the question once in their life, or even they ask themselves every day,
"What is life really?"
"What do I want in my life, what makes me happy, what are my motives in life?"
The story, I think provides an introduction to people how certain people feel about life, and not everyone can agree to the same answer. There are people, which in this case Mersault, who takes life as nothing more than order and is insensitive toward the many aspects of life. He is very detached that he does not think life can change, or that he cares. He has no emotions. This shows during his bland expression during his mother's death and his un-seriousness when his girlfriend asked him to get married. He doesn't think anything will change if he marries or if he does not marry her. This amoral trait of his is what makes people around him confused and can't help but cast him as an outsider. He is generally too accepting and does not believe in God, so whatever comes into his life, he gives up, welcomes it, and thinks no one can help him prevent or avoid it.
Is Mersault wrong for how he thinks? Apart from the murder, absolutely not, but I will never waste my time and perceive life the way he does. There are many great things about life, and I will not accept the things I do not agree to enter my life, but The Stranger is a good representation of absurdists people and how they anticipate and go on with their life.
Very insightful! This is the short brief I'd recommend to everyone starting out to learn about crypto assets, bitcoins, and their association.
I made a summary of the whole book, if anyone's too lazy to read the whole book, I got all the main points covered, so don't be hesitant to private chat me for the notes.
EASILY the best self-help book out there. A favourite. Opens your eye to the basic skills of public speaking. It was very well-written with many exciting and interesting examples for each chapter.
