The Revenant: A Novel of Revenge by Michael Punke

Had a lot going for it. I found this novel to be very engaging, for the most part. I could really feel everything that Hugh Glass went through, the imagery is probably the strongest and most consistent part of the book.

That being said, the story didn’t catch my interest for a considerable amount of time (the last half of the book to be specific)

Overall, a good read, especially if you’re a big fan of historical fiction and Westerns.

This novella was so incredibly well written, the words flowed very fluently and the whole story felt very alive and vibrant.
