This novel still retains Kerouac's characteristic style and does not feel heavy with his lamentations about his life as a known author, as what happens in most of his other novels.

It's well written, humorous with good scenes and memorable characters.

I think it's fair to say I really enjoyed this one.

"You're not an idiot. Huh! You're not a goddamn looney now, boy. You're a fisherman!"

Love the movie, it's an absolute masterpiece and the tragic ending always upsets me so much.

Been wanting to read the book for years, here's me now finished and I loved it!

I was very surprised that the whole book was written in the Point of View of the character Chief Bromden.

Anyway, it gave more background information on the characters, loads more dialogue and it's only slightly different from the movie.

It's one of those books you could debate about for hours, highly recommend this excellent piece of literature (if you've not read it already)

He's my favourite author, but I'm certainly not going to be bias here.

I found this one very predictable and repetitive. 

When I finished it, I felt like it was incomplete and sloppy.

I rarely write bad reviews but this was one of the most boring and repetitive books I've ever read.

And blah blah blah..

So goddamn boring, tedious and over hyped.

This is the kind of book that puts me in a slump!

I understand I'm in the minority here, most people have given this five stars - God knows why.

This installment was like 200 pages of pure carnage, there really wasn't much of a story in this one but it did offer some character development and I really liked the battles.

I'm looking forward to reading Vol. 4!

500 YEARS IN THE FUTURE, EARTH IS A PARADISE...WITHOUT US.

Humanity no longer exists. Instead, Earth is populated by approximately 11,111 Erta. 

Erta were created by the humans in order to try help save the world.

However the Erta realise that the way for Earth to survive is to allow humans to die out, then they can go about saving the planet.

Once everything is complete, one Erta points out that they should reintroduce humans to Earth; the majority disagree because of humanity's destructive nature and the threat of the planet being destroyed once again - making all of their work in saving the planet pointless.

They decide to create a single human life as a test subject, an Erta has been given the responsibility of raising the child and the story follows her development through his life. From seeing him as a test subject to realising that she loves him as she struggles through the various aspects of parenting.

This one is beautifully written with complex characters, I can see this being a future classic.

There's a few bits were it slows down due to 'scientific' stuff and I put it down but I kept going back to it and I'm glad I did because I loved it!

I can’t recommend this highly enough.

I'm so glad I decided to read this one, I never knew it was set in Glasgow and it came as a pleasant surprise, the characters were loveable, the story just flowed so well and I loved the first person narrative - it was like living in Eleanor's life with her and having access to her thoughts.

The story itself deals with alcoholism, loneliness, childhood trauma and the way it all ties in at the end is perfect.

I recommend this wonderful, unpredictable and thought-provoking read.

I dreamed you were wandering in the dark, and so was I.

Wow, I'm speechless.

King does what he always does best. The story telling and overall character development is absolutely brilliance as usual.

It's full of suspense and raw emotions 

I think John Coffey has become one of my favourite King characters. 

I think Percy Wetmore is up there with Norman from 'Rose Madder' for most dislikeable characters.

This volume revolves around an auction that's taking place, the ghouls are auctioning off humans for consumption or using as slaves; one of the ghouls who is rounding them up is a girl called Nutcracker who has very unusual feeding habits - she consumes mainly men's testicles. *yep* lol

Cool plot and interesting new characters. 

Starting Vol. 3 tomorrow, I'm really liking this series!
