This book has TW of explicit sexual content, possessive/jealous morally grey alphahole, and profanity.
We have Josh and his sister Ava, and then we have Alex Josh’s best friend. A very dangerous mix.
Josh and Alex Volkov found it sexy and very popular, aka can get every girl they want and don’t care much for relationships.
Ava Choe, it’s 21 single and Inocente is overprotected by her brother.
Josh leaves for Central America to study Medicine, while Ava sees herself with Alex as a babysitter.
All the things that could go write but not. Alex starts seeing himself attracted to Ava.
The writing was okay, interesting start. The plot was interesting I felt that this book was fast pace. We see glimpses of Alex and Ava's past throughout the storyline, helping us understand their personality and why they act the way they act in the first few chapters we discover that Alex has flashes with their parent's fate.
60% in, we find interesting situations and how these can scar relationships.
This wasn’t five stars for me but in the end, turned out to be better than I expected.
Rating this from one not being spicy to five for supper spicy I would say 3

This kept my blood boiling, and very intense, the first one was good this one was better, with a lot of action and mystery, the authors managed to make me hate a specific person in here, I literally had to stop reading to calm down but I couldn't stop reading it.

In this book we see more character development e get to know better each character and their perspectives throw our main character's notion.
The plot is fascinating I regret taking so long to read it was refreshing and intense.

This arc was kindly provided by the author Courtney Thorne, in exchange for my honest review.
The book does a great job enlightening the tw in the beginning, so make sure you are aware, there's violence, body shaming, homophobia, murder, sexual content, domestic abuse etc.

In general, I felt that the book was fast passed, the storyline was exciting and we see the world through our main character's point of view. The worldbuilding was explained well, and we have our main character trying to escape and have her internal battle trying to figure out her life and options to survive, I like the morally grey trope but I felt that I didn't have enough content on the characters to know them, that only start happening from the last two characters she meets.
I felt that the book could've been more descriptive of those elements.
Our main character has powers given in exchange for future marriage, so she gets more power than anyone around her, but because she was been mistreated psychologically all her life she doesn't believe in herself, and we expect to see character growth but it felt that happened too fast. The end made total sense and it just tells us we will have more and leaves us with the feeling of know knowing what's to come. It still bothered me a little bit that we had 4 possible marriages each having its storyline but everything was given to us so fast, with no option for us to choose or question which one she would pick if she could, it was clear and I feel that it was a missed opportunity to expand more the world and the characters.
