The Christmas Cottage by Sarah Morgan
4.0
I love a Sarah Morgan book at Christmas although this one was missing a little bit of the charm of her previous books. That's not to say I didn't enjoy it though because I still loved it. As always it has a cute setting, festive activities and lovable characters - it's ideal to curl up with over Christmas
The Front Runner by Elsie Silver

My Elsie Silver fan club is still going strong. I am obsessed with these books, I think 2024 has been the year of a cowboy romance. This one follows Stefan and Mira and has all the charm of Elsies other books. If you haven't read any of ELsies books make sure you do in 2025
The Chalk Man by C.J. Tudor
3.0
If I'm honest, I was expecting more from this. Although I have loved books by C.J. Tudor in the past, this one felt tough to get through. I wasn't hooked but I did finish it. I think it just wasn't for me
My Vampire Plus-One by Jenna Levine
4.0
I didn't enjoy this as much as the first book but it is a fun, flirty seasonal romance. It has the same characters as the first book but follows Reggie the vampire instead. One to add to your list for next halloween!
The Enemy by Sarah Adams

You can't go wrong with an enemies to lovers by Sarah Adams. Her characters are always a joy to read and the romance is always super sweet. I've read both books in this series and I'd definitely recommend!
The Summer I Destroyed You by Elizabeth O'Roark
3.0
This was probably my least favourite of the series, although I really enjoyed all five books. Something was missing. If you haven't read this series, I definitely recommend it!
Home for Christmas by Heidi Swain

I really wanted to love this but there was just something about it I couldn’t get into. I listened to the audiobook in the car this month and whilst the story was sweet and I liked the characters I felt it was a little long in parts and sometimes the characters said somethings that were a bit high and mighty. It felt a bit teachy and that’s not my thing at all 😂
The Christmas Express by Isla Gordon

This is such a cute festive read! It’s set on a train travelling across Canada when a group of five friends are reunited after falling out years before. There’s tension, rekindling of friendships, second chance romances and new love stories intertwined!
I really enjoyed it and it was perfect for my first December read!

Christmas By Candlelight: A Cosy, Escapist Festive Treat of a Novel by Karen Swan
4.0
I picked this up on a whim in a charity shop a few weeks
ago and had zero expectations. But Karen Swan really is as good as they say! I loved every second of this! It’s set in a snowy Manor House in Yorkshire in the run up to Christmas when a group of uni friends reunite.
There’s hidden histories, love interests, a cosy setting and even an escaped convict 😂 for a Christmas book it really does have everything and more!
This was my first Karen swan book but it won’t be my last

You know the drill by now, my names Emily and I love a cowboy romance 😂 this didn’t disappoint and I’m so glad I found Elsie Silver work this year! The setting, characters and romance are all brilliant. Definitely one to pick up!
