Thank you to GRR for providing an advanced copy of this anthology in exchange for an honest review.
First, the proceeds of this anthology are going to an amazing cause so I highly encourage everyone who’s interested in it to purchase it!
Second, this anthology is filled with cute Christmas stories from a myriad of popular authors! I absolutely loved going through these and they definitely got me in the Christmas spirit!

Jack's on Fire: A Modern Queer Fairy Tale by Owen Lach

Thank you to Netgalley for providing an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I applied for this ARC on Netgalley solely because Heartstopper had just come out on Netflix and I saw the words "perfect for fans of Heartstopper" in the synopsis. And you know what? It didn't lie!
I love YA books because of the feelings they give me. I may be a 30 year old woman but I was once sixteen and I don't know anyone who has forgotten what it was like to be in high school. Reading books like Jack's on Fire brings it all back and I can disassociate and find myself being in the book with the characters. When a book can transport me to an entirely different world, like this one did, I consider it a success.
I do think this book could have been shorter, but it definitely lives up to the "modern queer fairy tale" the title tells us it is. Despite the length, I didn't have any real problems with this one and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Just be sure to check your triggers, though. This book does deal with some heavy topics and may not be for everyone, no matter your age.

In the Event of Love by Courtney Kae

Thank you to Netgalley for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This was the last book in the now IG infamous "Holigays" group that I had left to read. I initially downloaded the first few samples for free on Amazon but when I got approved for the ARC I screeched.
If you are looking for a fun, Hallmark style, LGBTQ rom-com with all the holiday feels, this is the one you should be picking up. It was my personal reading goal this year to read more sapphic romance and I think I accomplished that. This was probably the last F/F romance I'll be able to get to this year but it was one of the best I came across! I'm very excited to see the continuation of this world and Kae's characters. You can bet I'll be checking out whatever this author writes next!

Verity by Colleen Hoover

This was much more my cup of tea than [b:It Ends with Us|27362503|It Ends with Us (It Ends with Us, #1)|Colleen Hoover|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1470427482l/27362503._SY75_.jpg|43940889].
But I have one question: Does CoHo hate women or something? Every woman in this book was a NIGHTMARE. I don't think I've liked any female characters that she's written. I mean, I've only read two of her books but still. Lowen was constantly paranoid and I just found her generally unlikeable. Verity was i n s a n e, any way that you slice it. And then there was Jeremy and whew boy. After reading the epilogue, I'm also convinced that Crew is a little budding psychopath.
But four stars because this book kept me riveted and I haven't read a physical book in forever so YAY.

I loved everything about this. It just hit me in all the right ways.
I randomly found this book in a new release post on IG and I’m so glad I downloaded it because otherwise I would’ve missed out on Baylor and Aspen
