Just another WWII story and not a very original narrative. It started well and then went downhill.

I loved this wonderful tale that combines myths, legends, and fairytales. It's an adventurous read about a mermaid who is afraid of water and shark shifter in love with the said mermaid. Two species at odds are about to discover how healing the power of young love can be. I don't often pick up YA fiction, but I'm glad I did because this book surpassed all my expectations. It's well-written, characters are all lovable, and the story has enough twists and turns to keep the readers entertained. I'm looking forward to starting the next book.

Sea In My Throat is vulnerable and realistic, and it has a raw tone that will tug at your heartstrings. It's also rebellious and uncomfortable, and it has a confessional, honest feel that will make you look in the mirror. Each piece seems to be crafted with love and care. It's the kind of poetry that lets you feel the truth without any coverings. I'd say it's a must-read for all poetry lovers, especially if you like raw and emotional poems.
