Cute and a bit depressing. I own the whole series so might as well continue the story.

I need a physical copy of this novel. I know this is one I'll revist many times over. I need more of her work translated, or I might need to learn Dutch to read her other pieces of literature.

"Feel this! I'm alive too. I haven't forgotten a single thing: But there's
more. Come here! Stand under the light. Look me in the eye...do you see yourself: Do you recognize your image there? My head is full of you. Give me your hand. Close your fingers around my wrist! Feel how surely my life beats for you. My blood is full of you. Come rest your ear on my chest. Do you hear how my heart whispers your name? I love you."

I do appreciate a very unlikable character in my media. A bit sloggy in some parts.

“This lie is one about life, that we need more of it, that we need to be more productive, produce more, that it has to be longer, that death is the enemy. It’s not true. Infinity is a breathtaking mystery, or so I used to believe. Now I know it’s not. Infinity is stagnant. It doesn’t expand. It can’t. It’s just immeasurable. It’s not a mystery, it’s simply endless.”

Sort of a bleak abrupt ending.
