Great read, comforting and sad but hopeful all the same.

I'll never be into reading business books but at least it's done and I can get it off my TBR shelf.

The book itself had a couple good tips and some ideas for ice breakers that will probably help me. Doesn't mean it was my "book of the year".

This is my first 5 star in a minute and honestly it was so good and gripping and captivating that I ended the last page, read the acknowledgements, and then reread the first chapter. I don't think I have EVER done that move. Like reading a version of eternal sunshine of the spotless mind (not in content but in captivation), where you can't understand the beginning until the end but you knew that the beginning was incredible before you understood it all.

Marvelous. Truly a masterpiece. And a DEBUT novel??? Unreal. I feel truly blessed to have encountered this. I read it in company at a book club and often would gasp, say "whatt?????", chuckle, or groan. Fully immersive. Incredible.

a couple of good ideas, generally nonsense management reading again...but still helpful and something to do during an otherwise slow workday/when I'm procrastinating. Gives good words to describe how to effectively work with assholes or alternately, how to judge yourself first and others second I suppose
