All the stories were about episode 1, which isn’t my favorite. I loved Claudia Gray’s story, though.

Lost interest when it became about one character volunteering her time to work in a bookstore and teach the other character French while on vacation in Paris.

I enjoyed Part 1, but didn’t want to continue reading about academia.

I can’t stop listening to Star Wars books on audio. Disney is hiring amazing authors and audiobook narrators for these books, and the audio productions are so fun, with lots of ambient sound effects. This one is a YA story, about two childhood friends, who reunite for a smuggling operation on a backwater planet. It’s for you if you love adventures paired with in-depth character development, and a love story.

This novella is a Holmesian mystery set in a sci-fi world. Humanity has colonized Jupiter after Earth becomes uninhabitable. Now Mossa, an investigator, has to find a missing man, and her journey begins at a university with her ex-girlfriend, Pleiti. If you read this, expect fog, trains, academia, a love story, and some world building around how Jupiter has been colonized. It was really well written, but it got lower stars for me, because I found it kind of boring.

This was a fun cozy mystery, with a yarn shop, murder, amateur sleuth, and loveable town folks. I really enjoyed the audio narration, by Brittany Pressley. She’s becoming one of my favorites.

If you’ve ever thought about reading a Discworld book, I think this is a great one to start with. It’s a fun, satirical take on chosen-one narratives with dragons, taverns, and bookish magic. It’s hilarious and insightful, while also being a great story. I think this is a good comp to The House Witch by Delemhach or even to Legends & Lattes by Travis Baldree. Think medieval fantasy city with a loveable cast of characters, who are a work family. I’m actually laughing as I write this review, because I’m remembering some of the jokes. This one put a big smile on my face, and the audio narration is superb.

This story took me by surprise. I knew it was a cozy mystery about an old lady in Chinatown, San Francisco, who finds a dead body in her tea shop one morning. What I didn’t know was that this was a beautiful found-family narrative, about art, community, and healing. I absolutely loved it, and I actually cried at the end. I recommend reading this one for humor, hijinks, beautiful character journeys, and all the feels.

Great story with a fun mystery, but the cultural appropriation was egregious.
