I really feel sorry for Chloe and Matt, who really didn’t let us down, but in Wrapped Kyle undeniably steals the show.
Like the previous two books in the Kyleverse, I had a great time reading this novella. I love the humour that Nicole Parker brings to her stories.
The Kyleverse adventure continues with Nimbus.

I never had a Furby when I was a kid, but I wouldn’t mind having a Flurbo now that I’m an adult 😏/jk
Once again I had a great time reading this novella by Nicole Parker. Kyle really has a talent for finding himself in the weirdest plans 😂
I’m going to continue my journey into the Kyleverse with Wrapped.

I didn’t expect such a fun and hot story. Kyle and Taylor know how to have fun together and Connor knows how to find his place in their duo, no matter what form he’s in 😏
One thing’s for sure, I’m going to read every novella available in the Kyleverse from now on 😂

For the Fans is the kind of book that starts by warming your heart, only to break it into a million pieces before helping you mend it by giving you the glue you need to put all the pieces back together. As a result, I guess I must have a masochistic side, because there wasn’t a single moment of that book that I didn’t love. Since then I’ve been wondering why I hadn’t read it before, knowing that people had been recommending it for a while. I suppose I’m a masochist and a bit of an idiot 😅
The main criterion that makes me love a book is the characters. I need to feel invested in the story of the characters to really get into a book—of course the plot is extremely important too, but my opinions revolve mainly around the characters. In this case, I loved Avi and Kyran—and I loved the plot.
Aviel is a character I liked from the very first chapter. His humour is fantastic and his empathy is unparalleled, but you quickly sense that this nonchalant clownishness is actually hiding a huge amount of anxiety that he’s trying to silence with weed. I liked his relationship with his mother. It always seems incredible to me to have such a relationship with your parents—hello personal experience—so I think it’s beautiful when a child can talk to their parents about anything without it affecting their relationship.
As for Kyran, he’s a character I understand all too well. My heart ached for him. At first glance, it’s easy to see him as an insufferable character. He’s haughty and angry, but frankly I know all too well the anger that fills him. Kyran is first and foremost a young man in pain whom you want to help. As you get to know him through the chapters written from his point of view, you really understand him better.
Avi and Kyran have phenomenal chemistry together. I’m a huge fan of the enemies-to-lovers trope, and here it’s executed extremely well by Nyla K. As they begin to tolerate each other under the guise of being business partners, it’s clear to everyone but them that their relationship is much more than that of two colleagues.
Throughout the book, I also enjoyed the secondary characters, both Avi and Kyran’s friends, as well as Avi’s mother and Kyran’s sister.
I make it a point to keep my reviews spoiler-free, so I’ll stop here, otherwise I could go on for hours about certain details of the book. The bottom line is that I loved this book and would highly recommend it to anyone who hasn’t read it yet. After reading For the Fans, I’m definitely going to check out Nyla K.’s other books.

If I thought Tentacles and Teeth was hot, Bound and Beguiled is a boiling hot book 🥵
We got a brief glimpse of Tereza at the end of Tentacles and Teeth when she called her cousin Katarina—who is FMC from the first book in the series. At the start of Bound and Beguiled, we follow a Tereza who has had to leave the Covenant to escape a dangerous situation. She moves in with her cousin and gets a job as a waitress in Katrina’s girlfriend’s—Sid—bar. There she meets four Bwbachods who will change the course of her life.
In addition to the extremely well-written spicy scenes, this book tells the very moving story of a young woman made vulnerable by the physical and psychological violence she has suffered at the hands of people close to her. Thanks to Mared, Efa, Emyr and Kynan, she gradually regains control of her life and regains the self-confidence that had previously been constantly shattered. This makes Tereza an FMC with a lot of courage and strength. Mared, Efa, Emyr and Kynan are really perfect to accompany her on this long journey. I can’t think of a better match for her.
I can’t wait to read the next book in the Consorting with Monsters series.

A fun fact about myself: when I was about 7 or 8 years old, I saw the film Twister (the original) for the first time, much to the dismay of my family and friends, because I can’t say how many times I’ve seen it since—but it must be several dozens. Watching this film led to my fascination with tornadoes. Since then, whenever I can watch a film, TV series or TV programme about tornadoes, I do. I don’t think I’ll ever get to see one in real life—they’re very rare in my country—but I’ll always be amazed at what nature can create, even if I deplore the number of victims and the damage tornadoes cause. Anyway, all this is to say that when Kayla Grosse announced she was writing a book about storm chasers, I was sure I would read it and love it. Spoiler alert: I did.
Again, the only thing that made me put my Kindle down while reading this book was the fact that the Sandman came to knock me out so I could finally get some sleep. I really did devour this novel from beginning to end. I was as fascinated by the storm chasing scenes as I was by the relationship between T-Daddy… er Ryker and Finley. The two of them were as endearing as they were at times unbearable. Repeat after me: COM-MU-NI-CA-TION! Now, isn’t that difficult? Is it? 🤣 All joking aside, I really liked the two main characters in Whirlwind.
Finley is an extremely intelligent and determined FMC. She has given herself the tools to succeed in the field she is so passionate about and I am a huge fan of her. Ryker is an MMC who knows how to grovel and proves that he would do it for Finley for miles and miles after the mistakes he made at the beginning of the book. It was interesting to get their respective perspectives on the consequences of a teacher-student relationship. It wasn’t just ‘who cares, you only live once’, but inner reflections that rightly weighed up all the pros and cons of this forbidden relationship.
I was happy to see Jake from the Cowboys of Night Hawk series again. Since Finley is his cousin and best friend, the conversations they have together are sincere and we finally get to know more about him. I loved Joey! Seriously, he almost steals the show from Ryker and Finley in this book, his presence is so crucial. As for Hawk, he lives up to his nickname in so many ways, and even though Ezra is a character who’s a little less visible, I really wanted to find out more about him. I don’t think I would have minded finding several seasons of Tempest Trackers to sink my teeth into 😄
Whirlwind is a novel that only confirms that Kayla Grosse has become an author whose books I will read as soon as they come out. I highly recommend this book.
Thanks to Kayla Grosse for giving me the opportunity to receive an ARC of Whirlwind. This review is my own. All opinions expressed are mine.

I absolutely love The Sentient Object Holiday series. I don’t know how the idea of writing this series came about, but many thanks to the people who came up with it.
Unfortunate Reads warns us right from the start that smut is the plot, and we’re not fooled, to say the least. In this novella, the author finds a way to make the ocean almost attractive to someone who is afraid of it—hi, it’s me 👋🏻.
Marina is a character whose humour and confidence in her sexuality I loved. I hope for her sake she’ll be back in the ocean soon 😏

I think I say this every time I read a book by Sylvia Morrow, but I don’t know where her incredible mind comes up with all her stories. All I know is that I hope it lasts because reading a story by Sylvia Morrow always gives me the serotonin boost I need for my mental health.
In My Date With Bubble Tea, the story begins in a park with a young woman walking her dog—who is in a stroller herself—and crossing paths with a handsome man sitting on a bench sipping bubble tea. One fairy and a sneeze later, the charming young man has now become the bubble tea.
I really enjoyed this novella. It’s both unexpected and very funny. It fits perfectly into The Sentient Object Holiday series. Harry’s humour is a bit corny, but it still made me smile a lot and I’m always a fan of a very smart FMC like Adanna is. I also loved Snappy and her stroller.
I highly recommend this novella. Now I’m going to dream of a good bubble tea—but a little less of the boba; my brain needs to get over it.

I think I can safely say that I must have a very big heart, because with all the book characters I fall in love with, there has to be room for everyone, and how can you not fall in love with Sarah, Sammy and Colt? It’s impossible, those three infiltrate your brain and take up residence in your heart from the very first pages of the book—I also fell in love with Clio Evans’ writing, by the way.
I already had a huge crush on Colt and Sammy after discovering them in Broken Begginings, but I didn’t feel like I’d learned much about Sarah. I’m in awe of this woman. Colt and Sammy are right; she is a true goddess. Despite the guilt that consumes her, despite people’s judgement, she stands up for her sons when it would be easier for her to fall apart. Although she is no longer physically isolated from her loved ones, the scar left on her psyche by her ex-husband means that she isolates herself from them, feeling unworthy of their love and help.
Fortunately for her, for Jake and for Davy—and a little bit for us too—Colt and Sammy are among those who don’t agree with her way of thinking. They see Sarah for who she is and how she doesn’t see herself. A strong, resilient woman, a wonderful mother and a very brave person. I love the gentle personalities of our two MMCs. They’re similar, but at the same time they complement each other. They’re generous and care deeply about those they love. They really are two pillars that Sarah and her sons can lean on as they rebuild their foundation.
With Clio Evans you can be sure that the polyamorous relationships will be well written. We can also be sure that the spicy scenes will be extremely hot, kinky and also very well written.
To sum up, as I’m sure you’ve gathered by now, I loved Stolen Chances and can’t wait to discover Hidden Roots—but I’m still a little sad at the thought of leaving Citrus Cove.
