4.5

4.5 — read this in one sitting. so fast paced so addicting i had to know how it would end. usually thrillers end up being predictable for me & i lose interest around 50% in. not with this book. did not predict anything and actually want there to be more to the story bc of how fascinating i found the concept to be. & omg that ending.. wtf! i wish thrillers could have a fully happy ending like romance books.

one star indeed.

natalie and rob were both insufferable. this book is women’s fiction at best idk who read this and thought it was a romance. romance wasn’t even a subplot that’s how unromantic the whole book felt. the time jumps were fun the first 2/3 times but omg i do not need a time jump every 30 pages stop! oh and natalie was borderline obsessed, most definitely in love with gabby. for a good chunk of the book i thought she was just jealous that gabby was experiencing new life milestones w/o her but it became so obvious. like gabby has been married to angus for 5+ years, has a child with said husband and you’re mad at her, whining about how you’re not her number one priority.. at the big age of 30.. seek help 🙏🏽
