An unenjoyable mashup of a novel. It might have only gotten 3 stars (I'm stingy with them) save for the final paragraph which was chef's kiss - the perfect ending commentary!

This book has gorgeous characters and descriptions, but ultimately it didn't pull together for me. I wanted to love this book, but the plot moved away too slowly and did not have a big enough pay off for me.

A delightful novella with a fable-esque quality to it. An enjoyable read for bibliophiles!
