Okay, so, this wasn't good. There was so much repetition about literally everything. I don't know why I needed to know every article of clothing people wore, including the colour, but that happened. I know I wasn't that far in, but she was already bombing her new chance at life. I didn't care for everyone calling her crazy for defending herself, it literally made no sense. Idk, I know this book is super popular but it was just plain BAD. I have read better stories on Wattpad.

When I am only 2% into the book and it's still prologue and I am THIS bored, it's very clear that I need to DNF. I've been holding this and Priory on my physical shelves for too long now. Time to cast them into the fire (not really, I will sell them or give them away lol). I appreciate the strong world building of the author and although I didn't read much, I know that she has a way with words, but this wasn't for me.

These characters are way too horny (for each other and in general). Seriously, I care more about the dig than their relationship, to be honest, but was willing to trudge through all that, but 30% in and nothing has happened archeologically speaking — but they have sure had a TON of sexually explicit thoughts about each other (aren’t they supposed to be enemies?)

Honestly, I know tons of people will LOVE this but it was just too much for me. If you want a book that puts the archeological stuff first, but still has spicy romance, give Guarded Treasure by Mae Lovette a shot because that’s basically the 1997 Mummy with Brenden Fraser but with more romance and some spice!

The amount of tears I shed throughout this book, especially over the last 10 chapters or so... dang. What a way to end a series. It broke my heart in so many ways but I KNOW I want to reread this already. This might be a series I reread every year, for the rest of my life. It was SO FRIGGING GOOD! I am seriously not accepting any criticism about it. It was perfect. It passed the vibe check. It's EVERYTHING. (Also, if you don't think so, that's okay, but don't be mean to the people who love it)

Cannot wait for Iron & Embers at the end of the month. I have already pre-ordered it and secured my Fairyloot February Adult box containing this book. Anyone know who did special editions of Legends of Thezmarr that still have them available? Do we think FL will pick them up?

This one was a bit of a slower start for me, only due to the time jump and the main characters being separated, but once they were reunited, dang this story was FIRE! I am so so in love with this series but the next book scares me so much. I know I am going to be heart broken.

Another wonderful book from the series. Seriously, I am eating this shit UP! I am in love with all these characters, I am bawling all the time, I am INVESTED. I will be reading all of these and I will never shut up about them. You watch.

I’m accepting ZERO criticism on this book. As soon as I got through the first few chapters, I knew this series would have me in a chokehold. This is going to break me, isn’t it?

I have been so nervous to read all these popular BookTok books — most have them have been highly disappointing for me, through no fault of their own. I’m a surface level reader who cares more about vibes than anything else.

Y’all this book is everything 🤌🏼 Seriously, it kept me interested EVERY DANG PAGE. I have NO complaints whatsoever.

I can’t even remember the last series that had me this excited to be honest. Don’t get me wrong, I loved ACOTAR but THIS series (and I’m confidently saying that at the end of book 1) is already SO MUCH BETTER.

I really enjoyed this prequel for Legends of Thezmarr and my gosh, how I love that he calls her Wildfire! It's such a unique little pet name, and when it came up in the LoT series, I was like YEP NEED MORE! I absolutely cried during this book.
