My favorite books in this series always tend to be the ones where the main character is going to and exploring their world, versus the ones of them being in The Home for Wayward Children.

I really enjoyed this one. We have a main character who's adopted from Russia and has a limb difference. I loved how the book explored these different facets of this character's life. The endings of these books are never truly happy, but the ending of this one was fitting.

I really enjoyed this collection as a whole! Some of the pop culture essays/interviews weren't my favorite, but that's because I'm very out-of-the-loop regarding celebrity culture. Still a great book, and I loved the audiobook!

I know a 3 star rating is a good, solid rating, however, I’ve given the previous 5 books by this author 5 stars. So this is my first book by my favorite author that I haven’t given 5 stars. Absolutely devastating to me.

But this books was good, it just didn’t have the emotional punch or same humor imo that the authors previous books had.

This is one of those books I wish I had read physically instead of listening to the audiobook. The audiobook was good, but I wish I had annotated this book.

This was a great book to learn about abolition, the history of policing, and the things currently being done to combat violence.

This was an interesting book, both in concept and execution. But nothing really blew me away, none of the reveals shocked me. It was a quick, good read that I’m glad to have read, but it’s one I think is sadly forgettable.

I’m sorry. The dude telling his boss/love interest that her boobs smell good took me out of the book. I can’t lmao

This book writes grief for a younger audience in such a great way. I definitely need to pick up more books from this author!

I LOVED the first two in the series, but this one was… rough.

Certain plot points were confusing. The magic system got confusing. I was side-eyeing this whole book. I’ll give it to the author tho, she knows how to write a good ending.

This was a solid book. I wasn't blown away by anything, but it was a fun, quick read.
