a middle ground book to me, i enjoyed it but am unlikely to pick it up again anytime soon. the story was good, and sometimes i was greatly enthralled, but lots of it was tiring to read through. i expected such with it being a classic.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 16%.
the writing style was tiring to read and the subject was not only confusing but also uncomfortable. i wanted to learn about the mc, cal, and instead sat through 83 pages of their grandparents and the incest of their relationship.

first book i ever annotated by writing in it (with pencil). loaned to me by my poetry loving boyfriend, and it was certainly a nice read.

im very neutral on how i feel about this book. its got weird moments, and a bit of an odd vibe, but the relationship does catch your interest. i both hated and liked the characters.

i loved the word choice and it felt very much like it needs to be reread for sake of learning new things and picking up on all the little details. very quickly established itself as my fourth favorite book.
