Not a bad story idea, but not well executed. The male main character felt very unlikable, it didn’t really feel like he grew and he was so temperamental and self-centered sometimes that it was really annoying. The spicy parts of this book were bad, they felt simultaneously robotic, awkward, and boring; “fade to black” at the end of a chapter signifying what they were doing would’ve been better. Also the focus on the main female character being “exotic” was so weird. She was of mixed ethnicity but some of the comments, particularly one toward the beginning that was part of the male main character’s dialogue, were so weird. Mixed ethnicity people can be called beautiful, stunning, etc. without being described in a weird way.
