I’ve been anticipating this one since the beginning of the year, and I absolutely adored it! A bit little cheesy and lacking in spice, but the overwhelming cuteness and character dynamics make up for it. The dynamic between Annie and Will is so sweet, funny, flirty, and mature. It's the communication for me!

This had so much potential… While the writing itself was great imo, the story was very meh, with the plot being basically a giant question mark. A lot was left unexplained or with little to no context. The important emotional, meaningful moments were diluted by lust and sex, which was quite frustrating as someone who still appreciates character development and depth in a spicy novel.. but hey, if you’re reading it for the spice alone, it’s a solid choice lol

Okay, this book had me completely hooked from the start. I can't believe I'm only getting to write this review now. But hey, better late than never, right?

The hype about this is REAL. The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue was absolutely amazing. A real masterpiece that struck me right in the heart. V.E. Schwab spun a captivating tale of love, sacrifice, and freedom that had me glued to every page.

The story follows Addie LaRue, a girl from 18th-century France who made a deal with a god to live forever. Naturally, there's a catch—she's cursed to be forgotten by everyone she meets. Until someone remembers her. Spanning 300 years of her life, Addie's tale is both haunting and mesmerizing. Schwab masterfully brings the different eras and cities to life through her beautiful and atmospheric writing. I got lost in Addie's enchanting world, where history and magic blended like some epic potion. Additionally, Addie was such a strong and relatable character, making her emotional journey truly unforgettable.

I adored Addie and Henry's relationship. Their slow-burning connection had me swooning and yearning for more. Their love defies time itself, and it's both heartwarming and gut-wrenching. He's like her rock, giving her the feeling of belonging and stability she's been missing for centuries because of her curse. Their love is a mix of warmth and heartache, as they face the hurdles of Addie's immortality and the sacrifices they need to make for their relationship. I just loved them so much.

the fact that Henry goes and publishes her stories, allowing her to finalllllly leave her mark on the world?

I also really enjoyed Addie's dynamic with Luc. It's a mix of tension, understanding, and a dash of drama, but somehow, it turns into this crazy companionship that keeps you guessing. In some ways, Luc understands Addie better than anyone else ever could, and I really enjoyed that connection.

Honestly, this book took me on one wild emotional ride. It's all about resilience, love, and the power of memories. I laughed, I cried [a lot], and I felt everything in between. V.E. Schwab really nailed it with this book. It's a timeless masterpiece that's gonna stick with me for a long, long time.
