3.5 stars! Would have given a higher rating because the story was so compelling and the world building was very immersive. But I really did not like the characters, especially Alina, and the love traingle aspect was off-putting. But knowing that this book came out in 2012, it explains why it has certain tropes because of how popular they were in the media back then (and are considered over-done now).
