Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan

3.5 stars!! Took me a while to get into it. The novel is divided into three parts, so essentially part one is all about sketching out the numerous characters, family lineages, and their abundant wealth. The story picks up somewhere in part two and then after that it is quite an enjoyable ride. As I didn't go into this book with high expectations, I wasn't disappointed and simply enjoyed it as a soap-opera story.
The Woman in the Window by A.J. Finn

Did I predict the ending? Yes.
Did it still have me turning the pages wanting to know more? Yes.
I think I would have hated it if it had not ended the way it did, even if it was a little predictable. Overall, a satisfying read.
My biggest issue, however, is this recurring theme in recent thriller of the female protagonist being an unstable alcoholic, and you have to guess whether she's telling the truth or is in the land of make-believe. It doesn't make for a very convincing premise.
