The Perfect Crimes of Marian Hayes by Cat Sebastian
5.0
This felt a little like the prequel to a historically-set version of the tv show Leverage. Cozy, queer, and bit spicy!
Heir by Sabaa Tahir
5.0
“When you sacrifice others’ children on the alter of your ambition, it’s only a matter of time before you’ll be willing to sacrifice your own.”
Tahir is a masterful storyteller and HEIR is a powerful example of how the best fantasy novels offer literary escape while meaningfully illustrating essential truths about our own (very real) society and world.
A must read. It’s not necessary to read the Ember in the Ashes books first to dive into this one, but I bet you’ll want to read them while anxiously awaiting book two!

Payal Mehta's Romance Revenge Plot by Preeti Chhibber
5.0
This book has all the best things about 90s teen romcoms - think She’s All That and 10 Things I Hate About You - plus a smart and funny MC to cheer for and social commentary modern teens will find refreshingly real. Highly recommend! #teamprh
The Thirteenth Child by Erin A. Craig
5.0
Every book I read from Erin A. Craig absolutely consumes me, becoming the only thing I can think or talk about for days, and her new fantasy - loosely based on Grimm’s “Godfather Death” - is no exception. It’s one of those books that you *can’t stop* reading but also are *dreading finishing* because you’ll have to leave this place and characters you now love and you’re just not ready, even after 400 pages! Dangerously cozy and lushly told, “The Thirteenth Child” is a fall must-read. #teamprh
