Two stars because this book was sort of boring compared to his other works. Not because of the slant-eyed helpers. Seriously? I'm Asian and I'm not bothered by this. Merely stating a fact about the appearance of a group of people doesn't seem offensive, in my opinion, so I don't get the issue. It's like I should be offended if I were described as a yellow-skinned woman with dark hair. It's the truth--so what? You all need to relax and not take things out of context, making mountains out of molehills.

I really liked how this ended. Out of all the Dr Seuss books I've read, this one has to be one of my favorites. Poor Thidwich was being used and abused by "guests" who kept bringing in more unwelcomed pests to his antlers.

The ending made me triumphantly thump my fist onto the table.
