I did not particularly liked/loved any of the stories in this collection. The most interesting ones for me, though, were:

Mon Plaisir
How To Tell Stories To Children

I love the slice-of-life format and the tone--the quietness and how both characters knew each other so well. But I didn't much like Jonna most of the time so it tarnished my enjoyment of it a little.

it was wonderful to finally read this classic. And I loved it a lot.
I must say, though, almost a bit shamefully, that I prefer the movie to the book.
It doesn't happen often, but there it is.

It should maybe be 4 stars, but Oh how I needed a selkie story, and how this story filled my need so well! Beautiful.
