I listened to this as an audiobook, it was the only way to get through it. I kept picking it up and putting it down, I didn't feel interested by it, the only reason I finished it was because I borrowed it from the library. I felt that the pacing was so slow and that the book could have been shorter, lots of added detail that was slowing my interest. Don't think I'll read the sequel but glad I finally got this off my tbr list.

As someone trying to get into more science fiction, i thought this collection of short stories would be a perfect dip into the genre. It was ...weird and I admit there were times were I had no idea what was going on, but I enjoyed the mysterious vibe that I felt from reading this book.

I'm surprised with how much I've been enjoying this series considering it's aimed at a younger audience.
I'm so happy that the writer finally decided to show us Wendell's story and how he died, was waiting for this backstory.
I liked seeing Marjorie's and Eliza's relationship develop even though Eliza got on my nerves sometimes, it reflects a real teenage relationship and you could see the insecurity Eliza felt. I liked the addition of the other girls to show a different side of Marjorie, more like a traditional teenage girl who doesn't have the weight of the world on her shoulders.
Also enjoyed how the 'villain' of the story was multifaceted.

A sequel to sheets, this story was a great continuation of the series. I liked how multifaceted the characters were, you both love them and hate them through their actions much like in real life. The book delves into serious issues like grief, loneliness and suicidal thoughts in an approachable way for a younger audience.
Again I love the artwork and the colour scheme, so nostalgic yet aesthetic. Looking forward to continuing with the series.
