Reading the whole series for nostalgic reasons I'm happy that the Baudelaire children were able to have some happiness with the quagmire triplets. The books follow the same format every time the Baudelaires are placed with a terrible guardian, Olaf finds them, no one believes that it's Olaf and then Olaf gets away Mr poe seriously gets on my nerves, dude doesn't believe it everytime
It took a while to get into the story, I found myself skipping chunks to just get into it. It's a light hearted romance, definitely predictably but you don't read books like this for the mystery or predictability of it. I loved the sisterhood trinity between Kiersten, Gemma and aunt liv; their acceptance and support in a crazy dimension shifting position really made the book. Definitely enjoyed seeing Gemma and her sister live their dreams at the end of the book And the ending was way too quick she comes back into her dimension and her and Dax just suddenly kiss and we skip to 6 months later. Also can we talk about the alcohol consumption in this book, every scene they're drinking. Crazy that they're not dead
Needed a light hearted romcom to break up some of my heavier reads I enjoyed the dynamic between Coco, Logan and poppy; interesting to see how the single parent dynamic played out.
I needed a break from my usual adult fiction book problems and decided to read a graphic novel aimed to a younger audience. First of all I liked the illustration style, the ghosts are cute and I loved the overall tone of the comic. This novel touches on grief and loneliness in an easy and enjoyable way. Will definitely keep an eye out for more in this series.
