I was compelled to read this by the promises of a woman vampire and not-so-subtle lesbian undertones. I was not disappointed.

I told myself to sleep on it before sharing my thoughts on this book, but now that I am awake I’m still not sure what I feel toward it. I liked it enough to still be excited about the movie coming out soon, but I couldn’t give it a higher rating because it left me so darn confused by the end, especially given how fast-paced the final act of the story felt compared to the pacing throughout the rest of the book. It was a quick and fun read, sure, but there was something that didn’t quite hit the mark for me and I don’t know what it is.

Got a late start with this one (had to set it to the side to focus on the first week back at school) but once I picked it up, I couldn’t put it down. Hopefully, I’ll post a longer review for this book soon, but right now I can’t organize my feelings about this book well enough to do so. In the meantime, I will just highly recommend y’all read this one!
