Puck Me Better by Wynter Ryan

I will admit, in the series, this is one of my least favorites. Even so, I definitely still enjoyed it. It is a reliably fun and quick read with hockey elements and follows the pattern I’ve come to expect from the series.
My biggest problem was how many errors this book contained. I know having an error or two is typical for an arc copy, but this almost felt entirely unedited. I hope those issues were corrected in the final version, but they did make my copy a bit difficult to read. Trying to figure out what it was supposed to say took me out of the reading experience a lot.
I loved seeing Cassi finally get her happy ending. The sense of family that is being created with all of the relationships part of the Norse really helps make it feel like a cohesive series. It has been a joy so far to see all of the cameos from former characters. It truly encapsulates the close relationships among teammates and how the wives often become friends. I cannot wait to continue the series and see the last relationships form and blossom.
This book does have spice, as does the entire series. It also involves polyamory. If spice is not your thing, I do not recommend this series

This one took me a long time to get through but was totally worth it. I'd love to read it again someday knowing what I do now which is super rare for a thriller

I have a bit of mixed feelings about this one. It wasn't bad by any means, it was just incredibly unoriginal. Everything in this book has been done before many times over. Nothing makes it special or unique in any way. I really wanted something more from it.
For a book called Text Appeal, I wanted a lot more text conversations. While there were some, I was really wanting more of them. The texting aspect is what inspired me to pick this one up in the first place so I was sad to see how lackluster it ended up being. I've seen other books include way more text conversations and more entertaining ones that weren't advertised in that way.
All of this said it was a solid story. If you are looking for a predictable small-town fake dating romance, this one has you covered. The characters are nice enough and it checks all expected boxes. I just simply wanted more or at least something to make this story stand out more. I'll be honest here, in a week's time, I will not remember this one at all. That's okay! Not every read is going to be earth-shattering or life-altering.
There was one element of the book that made me really pissed. He gave her fucking breakup oral. Who the actual hell does that and doesn't expect to be stomped in the face as a result? Riley then suddenly forgives him and commits to a man who is very much not ready to actually be in a relationship. It was so toxic and frankly gross. He leaves a toxic woman, only to become toxic himself.
This book does have a few spicy scenes but they can be skipped without missing any plot.
Overall, this book was incredibly basic but not terrible (minus the ending). If you are looking for a predictable read, I can recommend it. It isn't making any waves nor is it very impactful but not everyone is looking for that all the time.

I have to admit, I am very much aware a dark paranormal romance is not for me but given the season I thought I would give it a try. While I was quite startled by the graphic nature the writing itself was quite good as I expected from Shae. It was a story that sucks you in but is easy to finish in an afternoon. If you don't mind a very dark romance and are looking for a spooky season rec I recommend this one. I liked the variety of personalities of the characters and how everyone was driven by their own goals. The actual plot was quite engaging like a typical slasher film.
This book is incredibly dark and spicy so please reference the full list of trigger warnings before giving this one a try.
I received this book as an arc as part of Shae's street team. My review is honest and voluntary

This one was a lot of fun to read! The concept was excellent and I had a nice time with it. My main qualm was how rushed it felt. I absolutely wanted more from the interesting plot and fun premise. The dynamics between the boys and the humor from the goats were so great that I wanted so much more of them! I want a lot more from it. As the series goes on, they feel more and more rushed. I hope that trend stops so I can get more from the great characters!
The goats were great. I am officially a fan of goats being involved in romance every time. They bring so much joy and humor! The interplaying viewpoints and quips of the guys paired with the goats brought additional entertainment. Give us more cute animals next time!
This book is spicy but the scenes are skippable. That said, this novella is already incredibly short so there may not be much point if you don’t enjoy spice.
