Smut, pure smut. Well written, but smut nonetheless.

If anything, my complain is that the story didn’t continue beyond the few pages we got. The novella has the potential to have the characters with more depth and emotion. The vignette we got is not but a glimpse of their story. The age gap and taboo aspect kept it interesting. The slice was spicy.

Remember the Billy Joel song Uptown Girl? This book is just that in the literary version. This debut story has well written, easily lovable characters. Willow and Riley have an instant connection but don't realize it until late in the book. The text messages between the MCs, and the podcast news are my favorite parts. I enjoyed this book and recommend it for fans of Abby Jimenez, Emily Henry, Tessa Bailey.

If you are a fan of Alton's early Food Channel show, this is for you. He narrated his "essays" with that witty language we loved so much. It is not a memoir, but a collection of vignettes of his culinary journey. My favorite advise is read the recipe in full, several times.
