I only read this so slowly because I was hooked on Love Island! I would have normally flew through this. But anyways — onto the review — this was the perfect palette cleanser for me as I just read a book that made me feel EMPTY and SAD. THIS BOOK made me feel whole and happy. The banter between Stassie and Nate is perfect. Aaron is the most aggravating human and I kind of wish there was more to that other than what we got. It frustrated me but what happened at the end could have added just the drama I like in a book. Otherwise. The spice was spicy, it was a LOT and the fact that this “appeals” to CHILDREN is wild!! This has EXPLICIT SCENES not suitable for anyone under 18 tbh. There is no close door, this is full open door EXPLICIT sex scenes.
I’m not really sure how I feel about this one tbh — I enjoyed it. It got my emotions going. I love the twisted “vampire” snake combo. I love the gothic tones and mystery. There were a lot of pitch black elements — like time to read something light hearted so I don’t find myself too focused on the darkness — but overall I loved the story. I rate 4 stars because it just didn’t have the ending I wanted 😭😂 I know that’s rough but I feel like we (the readers) went through a lot with little clarity at the end but also when is book 2 coming out???
Graphic: Body horror, Confinement, Death, Drug use, Emotional abuse, Gore, Rape, Sexual assault, Sexual content, Torture, Blood, Cannibalism, and Stalking
This was twisty and turny and a WTF did I just read. We have cults, weird brain disorders that make people think they are bovine??, and a masked murderer?? wtf is happening?
This was just a pure spice book - practically 70 pages of smut and I enjoyed it. The plot is a husband and wife exploring a kink fantasy in a safe sex club. This was so sexy, hearing each of their thought processes and why they wanted to explore this specific kink. Mmmmm mmm only 4 ⭐️ bc I will not be recommending this to my friends 😂😂
This was a rough one — a lot of triggering content!!! Please proceed with caution:
I enjoyed this book up until the “miscommunication/secret to protect the other” trope and I got so frustrated that I had to put the book down for a minute. But once the story started and the spicey spicy stuff picked up, I couldn’t put this book down. I enjoyed this very much but due to the unforeseen trope that is one of my least favorites, I knocked it down a half star. And also recommending this to my friends would be hard due to the triggering content.— a lot of Seraphine’s revenge moments had me CRINGING — but those disgusting humans deserve it.
BUT THAT KNIFE SCENE THOUGH. I’m a sucker for those kinds of scenes.
This duo of books was the perfect pick me up. The insta connections, the insta love, the books being pretty to the point and full of good smut🌶️🙌 I loved how the FMCs are plus size and the men are older nerds who also play video games
This was a perfect palette cleanser for all the dark romance I read. The spice was great, the banter is better, he sounds so hot 🥵 and the plus size FMC? I love it. Only down a star bc it is so short and the next book doesn’t start with either of them? I wanted more 😭😭😭
THIS INSTALLMENT HAS PARTICULARLY TRIGGERING CONTENT. Be warned — onto my thoughts. I took my time reading this one because I just wasn’t ready for it to be over (for now) I am obsessed with this series and I can’t get enough. The way he loves her, treats her, always comes back for her. The fighter that Lyla is.. if I put too much detail then this is just full of spoilers. I am so glad so many loose ends get tied up and I got so many answers (I can’t wait for the rest to get answered in October when the Syndicater) comes out. It’s truly going to rip my heart to shreds I’m sure. AHHHH I CANT WAIT!!!!
I literally can’t get enough of this series. I think Runyx is my fave author right now! This book was by far the most emotional. I cried through a majority of it. I felt myself chipping as Zephyr was working herself to the bone for Alpha. Her thoughts, her efforts, her deep love for him, must have struck a nerve because I just laid in bed crying while it felt like she was failing. I thought the last book struck a chord and this one really hit it home. It’s set up perfectly for me to once again — be excited for the next book. — the ending 😭😭😭 I cried so hard. I knew the answer was on the tip of my tongue but I had a 50% chance of who it could be and I chose wrong 🤪
WOWWWWWW WOWWW WOOWWW. I can’t get enough of this series. I couldn’t put this down. I got enough of a tease of Amara and Dante to go into this book so excited and I was not disappointed. I LOVE Dante. He is wonderful and perfect and I love him. THIS BOOK IN PARTICULAR IN THE SERIES (SO FAR) HAS THE MOST TRIGGERING CONTENT! This introduces the Syndicate and their hidden.. deals.. and you will get to hear in (enough) detail what happened to Amara when she lost her voice. I cried a lot. That was rough. I cannot wait for the next installment — though I need more Vin immediately. I have a feeling about why we haven’t gotten much yet from his story :( onto book 4! 👁️👄👁️
