I don’t know what about this story exactly but I just wasn’t able to click with it the way I was hoping I would. It took me a bit longer to read but that was on me but nevertheless I still really enjoyed reading Sophie and Liam’s story, it was a lot of fun.

I HAVE FINALLY FINISHED IT. It took me almost an entire month to finish but you can put my reading slump and school to blame for that but besides that I love this book so much, this is the ultimate grumpyxsunshine book ever.

To be honest I went into this book thinking I was going to absolutely hate it but it turns out I really enjoyed it! The entire theme behind this story was something that I wasn’t 100% expecting.
Being stuck in a place where you don’t fit in, resulting in huge changes and doing incredibly horrible things just to make sure you won’t be mad fun of. Having this story set in high school was kinda off putting for me when I first started but as I read on, it started to make sense with its message of trying to fit in with everyone else since after high school, that types of things start to become irrelevant.
There were many different times when I saw pieces of myself in the story with watching the popular kids and wishing that was me as I watched from the outside. Feeling like they’re watching and judging me. While me and Ryen have a wildly different life experience such as I’m far from popular and everything she is, but her emotions and motivations was one that I saw in myself as I read.
It wasn’t as heavy as I was expecting but there were moments where I did feel a bit uncomfortable such as the many different bullyings scenes that occurred so do keep in mind. TWS: BULLYING, SLURS, VERBAL ASSAULT, SEXUAL HARASSMENT, HOMOPHOBIA, DEATH & GRIEF, DRUG ABUSE. Some of these are more stronger than others so do please keep all in mind. There’s also lots of sexual content included as well!
Lots of people say that this book reads like a wattpad story and yeah it kinda does but I enjoyed it needless to say.
**Also, since I had this question when I started reading since this is placed in high school, both Ryen and Misha are eighteen, other characters featured I’m not 100% sure.

This was such a fun romance book and was definitely the ease in that I needed to get back into reading again, however there are a few things that made me feel slightly detached from the story. While the romance was very much instalove, it’s something that I personally don’t really mark anything off against, however it’s the build up in the plot as a whole. I feel as though the story could’ve been stretch out a little bit longer in order to fully flush out the plot and romance. This book is very much an extremely fast pace book and could’ve been slowed down slightly to fully understand and be immerse in the world and the characters. However, besides those few flaws in my eyes, I really enjoyed reading Song of the Dawn!

I loved this book so much, seeing Bree and Archer interact was s heartwhelming. It took me awhile to get into this story whoever, once I got into it, I was flying through it. I loved every aspect of this story except for Travis Hale, who can swallow thumb tacks and nails for all I care about.
