This was classic Sigler, and narrated by the author. It was fun, light reading. It has a unique take on magic in the real world that I really liked. The characters are well developed and the world is familiar.
It is campy, horror(ish), action filled, and full of puns, innuendos, and double entendres.

Informative and interesting. Adds a narrative to historic true crime events. The entire series is good.

I am very familiar with the original works of Alice, so I was expecting a lot from this book. I really like this author, even though he can be slightly dry and long-winded, his stories usually pull together and are quite enjoyable. This one just didn't work for me.
The audiobook narration was just fine, but nothing special. I'll still read other books by this author.

I found this book to be very interesting. It was also very informative. The audio narration was well done, and the pacing was just right. One of this things I really liked about the book was how it stated what else was going on in the world at the same time. This really focused on the fact that while this might be history, it isn't ancient history, it isn't too far removed from our own lives.
With that being said, the indigenous people of America were deceived and wronged and while this book teaches a lot of what I should have been taught in school, I'm sure it barely scratches the surface on the indignities suffered.
Every American (And Canadian) should read this book.

This was my least favorite of the series so far. I do like the battle scenes, they are done well. And I enjoy listening to Travis Baldree... I just feel like this story was more filler than anything substantial and didn't really advance the story much. Don't get me wrong, the "level up" and skills increase will probably play a big part in the final two volumes, so hopefully those will be better than this one was.
