The Cop's New Toy by Brett Horne

The title says it all, though the suprise dubcon gang band was surprisingly over too soon 😮💨
A Monster's Brutal Mercy by Adri Armstrong
4.5
Short, delicious, fast-paced and satisfying. Very brutal but the ending was so tender.

Oh wow. I love Adri's books so much. They are full of smut but Adri takes time to make the characters fleshed out and their motivations clear. The world-building is spectacular - I do not expect this from erotica but I love it in Adri's stories so much. I always feel the build up of tension, passion, and the ending is so so satisfying.
Here, we have tender monsters brutalizing their man. But he loves it. I mean, both monsters were so different and intriguing. I could read more shorts with this trio. I think they could create something spectacular. Maybe Dorian could be their pleasure slave? hehe.

Wow. How should I rate this? Well, obviously 5*. And I think it says a lot about me. This is a non-con book with a tiny bit of niceness (would not call it tenderness) from the goblin shaman, but otherwise... wow. It was dark, depraved, vile, but also so good. I was sometimes a bit uncomfortable but I also just ate it all up! There is a bit of action and a little bit of background to the warrior MC. I am very much interested in the next story!

Someone Like You by Lyla Dane
When I saw "hurt/comfort" without breakups, I knew this would be right up my alley—and it did not disappoint!
5* without hesitation! This book is everything it promises to be.
We get a grumpy, touch-starved (but touch-averse) porcupine of a character who keeps most people at arm's length. Pair him with a gentle giant with tattoos, piercings, a broken past, and absolute devotion to his man, and you’ve got these two.
To be honest, the first 25 % was a bit slow, and Isaac really seemed determined to win the title of the meanest MC to ever walk the earth. BUT! After that, things turned around as we learned more about both of them, and their beautiful romance began to blossom.
This book is full of double hurt/comfort, on-page caretaking, tons of spice, and (sometimes cheesy) declarations of love.
I’m surprised this is a debut novel because the emotional and romantic aspects were so well done. The other men surrounding these MCs are also intriguing, and I wouldn’t mind reading more about them (Jordan, perhaps?). I don’t mean to sound condescending, but I often struggle with debut books. Not this one. And I’m so, so happy.
I received an ARC from the author but all opinions are my own and authentic!

The only thing my mind was able to conjure when I was with him like that was more more more. And on top of it all, he made me feel so safe the entire time.
And let's not forget he called me baby. Twice. Be still, my horny heart.

Finally! I mean, I can see that Austin already acknowledging his feelings a little. And as for Liam, his actions speak more than words. Loved it.
