I enjoyed the concept of this novella. Ten different chapters covering ten different Christmases. The main characters Lucas and Alex were intriguing but I wish we had more time to feel connected to them and be invested in their story. It was cute though!
My favourite of the series! I especially liked seeing Bethany's character development as she worked on her struggle with perfectionism. Bethany and Wes were fun to read about and I enjoyed their relationship the most of the 3 couples. We also got to see more of their community and the Castle family.
This was a fun and fast story! I enjoyed learning about the friend group and each of the members in it. They each had their own personalities that complimented each other well. We mainly focus on Cassie, who is struggling with the idea of growing up and growing apart. I enjoyed seeing her journey with trying to understand this new stage of her life. The plot was fun and easy to follow, however, I think that some of the dares were a bit unrealistic. I think the graphic novel format was perfect for this story. I especially loved the art style and I thought that it perfectly matched the vibes of the book.
I was initially drawn to this book because of the premise. The concept was interesting, but unfortunately, I wasn’t a big fan of the execution. I couldn’t become invested in the characters and would have liked some more time to get to know them individually. I mostly wished that we could have seen more character development from Sophie and see her become more confident. While I did enjoy the banter between Sophie and Joe, the miscommunication between them made it hard to root for them at times. However, I did enjoy the sections that talked about Sophie’s writing career. All in all, unfortunately, this book wasn’t for me.
A really cute Christmas read! It had the perfect snowy cozy vibes and the romance was sweet! I just wish it was a bit longer so we could get to know the main characters even more and have more time for their relationship to develop. I also wish it was a bit more Christmassy.
