This was a great read! I loved how from the very first chapter we're thrown back into the action and adventure of the City Spies world. Just like in book one, there were exciting spy missions and daring action scenes. Each mystery and puzzle were a lot of fun to solve and their solutions were surprising at every turn. The writing style is very easy to follow and sucks you into the story. I could vividly picture each setting and it made for a very immersive reading experience. All of the amazing characters are back in full force and have a lot of character development. I'm very excited to learn more about each of the City Spies as the series continues. I also highly recommend the audiobook version, the narrator did a fantastic job of voicing all of the characters. Readers of every age will enjoy this series, I recommend it to anyone who likes a good spy story. It has everything from heists to royalty, and everything in between!
A great sequel filled with exciting plot twists, intriguing puzzles, and loveable characters.
“She’s at war with herself. She was raised to be one type of woman, and now she’s remaking herself into another. It’s not an easy thing to be one’s own creator.”

The concept of this book was intriguing and the first chapters definitely grabbed my attention with all of the action. Unfortunately by the midway point, the story felt like it started to lag. By the end, things started to pick back up again but it did feel rushed at times. The backstory was well explained and I got a grasp of the overall mechanics of this urban fantasy world fairly quickly. There was an interesting cast of characters but one thing that hindered my enjoyment while reading was that there were so many different perspectives throughout the course of this book. My favourite aspect was the large variety of magical creatures. There was everything from witches to nymphs, to werhyenas, to vampires! I also liked the interconnectedness of the world and how fleshed out it was. This book has a lot of violence and tough subjects so I would recommend it to those on the older side of the YA reading range.
I really liked the anxiety representation in this book. Hena approaches the subject of mental health and anxiety in a realistic and hopeful way. I loved following Deena as she explored her passion for art and grew into her own style. We also explored Deena's relationships with her friends and family which were so heartwarming! I loved how they grew and developed throughout the course of the book. I think so many young readers can relate to, and be inspired by Deena's story.

Brynn was an amazing main character to read about. Bethany's writing style immediately immerses you into the story and its characters. I felt very connected to Brynn and was rooting for her throughout her journey. My favourite aspect of this book was the relationships. I loved reading about how Brynn's connection to her family and friends grew and developed throughout the course of the story. I especially liked reading about Brynn and her dad. They have such a strong connection, which is so heartwarming. The plot was well-paced and fit the tone of the book perfectly. However, I would have liked for the ending to be a bit more drawn out. While this book does focus on serious topics, it's also filled with humour that made me smile, like Brynn's sarcasm! And the romance was adorable!
I love A Fragile Enchantment with my whole heart! It has everything you could ever want in a romantasy book, with a beautiful setting, enchanting writing, relatable characters, and more! From the very first page, I knew I was going to love it. We're immediately thrust into the magical world of Avaland with Allison's enchanting writing style that grabs your attention and never lets go. Much like Niamh's creations, the prose of this book was full of emotion and heart! Reading this book took me through so many emotions. I was constantly smiling throughout this whole read, but I also really appreciated the serious topics and discussions within it. The descriptions of the settings fully immersed me into the story right away. I felt like I was right beside Niamh and Kit, experiencing everything with them.
We have to talk about the characters! I related to Niamh so much. I loved the kindness and care she showed to everyone around her. But I also couldn't get enough of her character development. Seeing her grow and learn what it means to take charge of your life was inspiring. Her selflessness and determination were a few of the characteristics I admired most in Niamh. But I also loved her imperfections, her clumsiness, and her stubbornness. And Kit! His grumpiness complimented Niamh's earnestness perfectly! He's definitely a bit rough around the edges but I loved that about him! Plus the banter between the two of them was pure gold! The romance was perfectly paced and I was constantly rooting for them. All of the side characters were brilliant also! Each had an in depth background and unique personality. The elements of found family in this friend group were fantastic and definitely added to the cozy vibes of this book.
A Fragile Enchantment is one of those books where after you finish it, you close the book and stare at the cover for a while to process it all. The action was exciting and the plot twists kept me on the edge of my seat! It was an all around perfect read, I wouldn't change a thing!
This is without a doubt another all time favourite of mine! Everyone drop what you're doing and read it!

I loved this book! It's got everything a good pirate story should have! Daring sword fights, magical creatures, beautiful settings, and heartwarming romance! The plot immediately drew me in. The idea of Majestics and the entire concept of Sinner's Isle was so intriguing to read about! There were plot twists at every turn and they kept me on the edge of my seat. But there was also a great balance between the action scenes and slower scenes that focused on the romance and friendship side plots. The history of this world felt as if it was about a real place, and I could easily immerse myself in it. Also, the writing style perfectly matched the tone of the story. I quickly got lost in the chapters and couldn't put it down! In addition, there were so many interesting characters that I just had to learn more about. My favourite character would have to be Rosa! I loved her determination and one thing I loved the most was that she made mistakes and learned from them. Plus her relationships with her friends and with Mariano was so much fun to read about. Speaking of the romance, it was adorable! It does begin quickly after the characters meet, but this was acknowledged and I felt like it was written in a believable way, especially when it came to the magic and fate of this world. I am so excited to read more of Angela's work in the future! This is definitely a new all-time favourite read of mine!
